(Justin Russo) the original title when I wrote the song was “Christmas, Thanksgiving and the Best Day Ever”, but it was later modified because songwriting is democratic. I first played the opening chords on a keyboard at the Guitar Center. It felt so immediately good that I saved money for three months and bought the keyboard just so I could finish the song. When we recorded it, Jay played his guitar chain through an amp the size of a cigarette pack and it sounded like sonic bees and we all freaked out. It was a fun session. (Jason Russo) I don't remember this recording session very well, I do remember trying to wring the first note of the solo out of my jazzmaster as hard as I could. I wanted to express the joy of Christmas morning. It was virtually impossible to replicate the feeling of the song played live, but we tried.
